 Cognitive map 1 The concept map is about application of derivatives. It is sub linked with three topics concave function, monotonic function, and neither increasing nor decreasing function. Each topic is subdivided as two types.By utilizing the first derivative, f'(x), the chapter establishes methods for determining the rate of change of physical quantities, identifying intervals where functions are increasing or decreasing, and calculating the equations of tangents and normals to curves. The cognitive map of this module culminates in the study of Maxima and Minima, where the Second Derivative Test (f''(x)) serves as a primary tool for optimization in geometry and economics.
